Java Servlets and Java Server Pages (JSP), XML/XSL, Oracle 8i, iPlanet Application Server, Solaris 2.8, Apache Tomcat 3.1, JavaScript, HTML. zUniversity, in partnership with 47 institutions of higher education, develops interactive, online communities. These communities include online applications which provide benefits to students, alumni and associated corporations. zUniversity asked Standpipe to design and develop core elements of zUniversity's product offerings. Standpipe built an online resource for alumni information. The Alumni Directory Application is available through each affiliate university's portal site. Users, once authenticated against the directory database, are able to update personal information and perform basic and advanced searches for fellow alumni. Standpipe built a suite of administration tools for the Alumni Directory Application. Using these tools, individual portal administrators at affiliate sites can manage the application, add information, approve changes to the database and generate usage reports. Standpipe built a remote database synchronization tool. The Database Connector Application allows zUniversity and its partner universities to remotely synchronize their separate databases of alumni information.
